Barcrest aren’t exactly known for their highly detailed, super-crisp graphics, and it’s no different with this game. The colours are bright and bold, with a cartoon like quality to them, which does add the fun factor. It’s an Irish theme, but we’re at the races on this occasion.
The design and layout is very similar to Rainbow Riches: Race Day with the racecourse and stadium in the background and plenty of bright visuals.
Symbols include shamrocks, horseshoes, harps, toadstools, the game logo and the usual Royals. There is also a horse, a gold coin wild and scatter.
Gameplay and Features
To trigger the free spins round you’ll need at least 4 scatters to land. The free spins will continue until you land a win, so this is a nice guaranteed prize.
The gold coin is the wild and substitutes any other symbol except the horse and the scatter. This comes in handy when trying to form wins in the base game. When you do land a win, the cascading reels feature comes into play. Winning symbols are removed from the grid and new symbols cascade down to fill their places and hopefully make more wins.
Along the top of the reels is a separate race counter. When horse images land, they move the counter along (depending on which horse symbol lands) and eventually, when one of the horses reaches the end, you’ll win a prize.
Verdict
This is a bright, fun slot with an impressive top potential win of £250,000. If you love horseracing or Irish themed slots, you’ll enjoy this, but it’s not the most unique or innovative.
