Reef Raider is a pirate-themed, cartoon style game which looks great fun right from the start. The action takes place on the seabed with a cheeky little crab roaming around. It’s packed full of colour and the upbeat soundtrack adds to the fun atmosphere.
There are 4 shell symbols which are the lower values and 4 gem symbols which are the higher values, paying up to 150x your stake for 25 or more in a cluster. Joining these are two wilds; a clam and a coin.
Gameplay and Features
After each win, those winning symbols drop off the grid and new ones cascade down to fill their space, hopefully forming another win. There are multiplier symbols up to 50x which can land and boost your winnings.
Consecutive wins can trigger the treasure trail feature which has 15 stages and 4 different modifiers.
3 consecutive wins triggers the Anchor Drop where up to 3 lower value symbols are removed and a new cascade occurs.
6 consecutive wins triggers the Random Wilds where up to 8 wild coins are applied and can replace all regular symbols.
9 consecutive wins triggers the Mystery Chest where up to 16 symbols are replaced by a mystery symbol which transforms to give a new payout value.
12 consecutive wins triggers the Cannon Blast where 1 symbol is chosen and all low and medium value symbols on the row are removed and a new cascade takes place.

Verdict
Not only is this a fun, well-executed design, but the gameplay is really engaging, especially in the Treasure Trail and free spins round. It might be a popular theme, but it does enough to stand out.
