Barcrest’s Rainbow Riches is one of the most instantly recognisable slots to have been released in recent history, and it is no surprise that the slot has spawned numerous sequels.

The run of follow up games doesn’t seem to be letting up either, and Barcrest have now released the next in line, Rainbow Riches Fortune Favours.

Sticking with the theme of Irish luck that has run through all the games (hence the Rainbow Riches title) Fortune Favours takes the concept in a whole new direction, and feels more like a fresh game than a sequel.

About the slot

Playable from 10p to £500 a spin on all compatible desktop, mobile, and tablet devices, Fortune Favours has a backdrop of green fields, with mushrooms, harps, and rainbow playing the high values on the reels, while the lower value symbols are the traditional 10, J, Q, K, and A playing card symbols, but with a Gaelic twist to keep them on theme.

Barcrest’s Big Bet option is available here, with extra features available the higher you go, with a £50 Big Bet offering no 10, J, and Q symbols, transferring wilds, and more.

In the base game, the Magic Fairy symbol is the one to look out for. Active at any stake, the Magic Fairy will randomly appear and change a random symbol into a wild.

This can happen multiple times on one spin, and can lead to some big wins if you’re lucky. Another nice way to win big is landing five of the Rainbow Riches logo on a payline, which will pay out 2,500 your stake.

There’s no free spins feature here, but with big base game wins available, it’s forgivable. The best Rainbow Riches title in a while, fortune Favours is worth a few spins for fans of the series.
