Odin’s Riches Design
As you’d imagine, the theme is based on Odin, the Germanic God of healing and wisdom and most things within the game are Norse related. There is a dark red background with a bonus wheel to the left and a Viking ship laden with gold to the right.
The gold framed 7×7 reels sit in the centre and contain symbols made from 4 neon coloured runes and a raven, wolf, snake, and dragon as the premium symbols. The dragon is the most valuable, paying 300x your stake when you land 15 in a cluster.
There is also a gold wild which can replace other symbols to help form wins.
Gameplay and Features
The rolling reels feature occurs when you land a win. Winning symbols are removed, new ones drop down and at least one of those is a wild. This repeats for every win.
Odin can appear at random and when he does, he drops between 4 and 9 random wilds in the hope they will form a win.
Every time you land a win, winning symbols are collected in a meter to then deliver one of several modifiers. You need at least 25 symbols to trigger one of the following:
At least 5 matching symbols turns into a win, they don’t need to be in a cluster. This is the Dragon’s Riches feature.
The Wolf’s Hunger feature sees all low value symbols vanishing with new symbols dropping to fill their place.
The Serpent’s Wisdom feature is when a single random symbol is chosen and any matching symbols are upgraded.
The Raven’s Flight feature is when 2 lines are formed diagonally across the grid. All of these symbols then vanish with new ones dropping in to replace them.
There is also a free spins round which activates when you collect at least 125 symbols. 7 free spins commence with one of the above modifiers in play. An 1x increasing multiplier is active and if you collect another 125 symbols on a spin, 3 more free spins are awarded.
Verdict
There are plenty of other Norse style slots out there, but Odin’s Riches is certainly one to check out. It’s packed full of features, modifiers and bonuses and the actions keeps on coming. Be careful though, it’s very volatile.
