Take a journey to the bottom of the sea with Play N Go’s Octopus Treasure slot. This is a medium variance slot, set on 5 x 3 reels with an RTP of 94. 25%. This slot is filled with features including bonus symbols, a bonus game, wilds, free spins, additional random wilds and re-spins to name a few!
Octopus Treasure Design
Straight away, the graphics are great and visually, the slot looks appealing. Down on the sea bed you need to find the sunken treasure which is guarded by the huge octopus. The dramatic soundtrack fits perfectly with the theme and the symbols include hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds, bags of bronze, silver treasure, pottery and piles of gold. The latter is the highest value paying from 0.5x to 3.5x you total wager. The coral reef is the wild and can substitute any other symbol.
So far, so good. What about gameplay?
Gameplay and features
There are loads of features here. The Key Re-Spins feature allows you to collect bonuses along the way and is activated when you land the key symbol on the middle reel. When this happens, the treasure chest opens to give you 1 out of 4 bonus features. These are:
Gold Pile – your symbols are upgraded to give you potentially bigger wins
Wild Coins – pick 3 coins to turn into wilds
Wild Reels – pick a row and all the symbols on there will turn to stacked wilds
Treasure Grab – win instant prizes as the octopus collects symbols. The reels keep re-spinning until all the symbols are collected.
If these weren’t enough, after any of these features take place the random multiplier comes into play, multiplying any winnings by x2, x3, x5 or x10!
Verdict
There’s no doubt this slot is packed full of features and visually looks great. The medium variance means there’s plenty of wins to be had and the free spins and modifiers make for an exciting game. The main downside is that some may find all the animations irritating, especially if you’re used to a much faster paced slot game.
