ELK Studios returns with a new instalment in its Nitropolis series, this time flipping the script with Nitropolis TV. Due to launch on February 20, 2025, this slot is the tenth game in the popular franchise, which began in November 2020.

About Nitropolis TV

Instead of gang warfare in a post-apocalyptic city, we find ourselves in a chaotic television studio run by a rogue vulture. Expect absurd antics, high-energy gameplay, and the signature Nitro Reels that made this series a fan favourite.

The slot is available on desktop and mobile devices from 20p to £100 per spin. The default RTP is 94%, which is on the lower end but offset by potential high-volatility wins. The max win is capped at 10,000x the bet.

Nitropolis TV shifts from street gang action to a ramshackle TV station held together by cardboard and duct tape. The vulture, decked out in a homemade antenna helmet, presents an unpredictable news show against a bright blue sky and towering skyscrapers.

Reels and Symbols

The reels sit within a dodgy wooden TV frame with flashing lights and static screens. The animations add humour as symbols glitch, flicker, and scramble as if the broadcast is about to crash. ELK Studios’ signature cartoon-style yet detailed artwork makes every spin a treat.

The low-value symbols are the card suits and six matching awards 0.25x the bet. The high values are a rat, pug, cat and dog – six-of-a-kind awards 0.5 to 2x the bet.

There are two wilds, the Vulture and the Pigeon. They both act as substitutes for regular symbols.

Nitropolis TV Gameplay

Nitropolis TV features Big symbols, Nitro Reels, Upgrading Stars, a Vulture feature, Bonus and Super Bonus games, and a Buy-in.

Big Symbols

Randomly, 2×2 or 3×3 symbols can appear on any spin or tumble, covering multiple positions.

Nitro Reels

Above each reel are covered positions. Randomly, they can reveal Nitro Reels with 2 to 12 identical symbols or Wilds. If part of a win, a respin triggers.

Upgrading Stars

If a symbol has a star attached, it will upgrade the Nitro Reels above. Once maxed out, the Nitro Reel transforms into Wild symbols, creating massive win potential.

Vulture Feature

If the vulture symbol lands, it triggers one of four random features:

Match Up – Upgrades random low-value symbols

Nitro Shift – Swaps two or more Nitro Reels

Nitro Upgrade – Triggers a random number of Nitro Reel symbols or transforms them into Wilds.

Both Ways – Allows wins from both directions.

Bonus Game – Free Spins with Persistent Nitro Reels

Bonus Game

Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 bonus symbols awards 8, 10, 12, or 14 free spins where all Nitro Reels become persistent. Additional bonus symbols award extra free spins.

Super Bonus Game

The Super Bonus Game triggers if one super bonus symbol lands alongside regular bonus symbols. This guarantees a Wild-filled Nitro Reel on every free spin, alongside the Both Ways mechanic, making it far easier to land huge wins.

X-iter

The X-iter allows players to buy into various features:

Bonus Hunt (3x bet) – Increases the chances of triggering the bonus game.

Spotlight (10x bet) – Guarantees a Vulture symbol.

Showtime (25x bet) – Guarantees a Wild Nitro Reel + Both Ways + a Vulture.

Bonus Game (100x bet) – Triggers the Free Spins.

Super Bonus Game (500x bet) – Triggers the Super Free Spins.

Final Verdict

As the tenth instalment of Elk’s Nitropolis series, Nitropolis TV takes a bold shift from gang warfare to a dystopian television broadcast. The core mechanics remain familiar, while introducing fresh new features.

The Nitro Reels remain the highlight, transforming the 4,096 ways-to-win format into something more explosive. The Super Bonus Game is a showstopper, combining Both Ways payouts with stacked Wild Nitro Reels for the potential for huge payouts.
