Relax Gaming retains the polished presentation. The familiar outlaws return with a harsher appearance, while feature triggers introduce more explosive animation. During the Money Cart Bonus, the surrounding landscape shifts towards deeper orange tones as the train advances through its journey.

Symbols and Payouts
The four playing card suits occupy the lower end of the paytable. Landing five matching symbols on a payline awards between 3.5x and 5x the bet.

Nuclear Wild
The Nuclear Wild can randomly trigger during any base-game spin. Once activated, crosshairs plant Nuclear Bombs across the reels.
Any Nuclear Bomb involved in a winning combination detonates, transforming into a fully Wild reel. The resulting Wild reel is then included in the payout.
Free Spins
Three or more Bonus symbols trigger Free Spins. Rather than conventional Free Spins, the feature operates with three refilling respins. Every new symbol that lands resets the counter to three.
Progress is measured through Ticket symbols. Each Ticket symbol displays a number indicating how many steps the train will advance. When a Ticket symbol lands, the reels shift left by the corresponding number shown on the Ticket. Columns pushed off the left side disappear, while new empty columns enter from the right.

The following symbols may appear during the Free Spins:

Payer – An xBet value is applied to all the symbols currently on the grid.
Sniper – Doubles the value of between three and eight symbols. It can target the same symbol multiple times
Bomber – Triggers at Station 15 and upgrades all the values on the reels by 2x to 5x
Pyromancer – Triggers at Station 15. A Hot Zone is burned on the train. If non-persistent symbols land in the Hot Zone, they become persistent, and their values are doubled.
Permanent Payer – Triggers at Station 20 and occupies a position outside the main grid. Reel shifts cannot remove it, and its value is applied to every symbol after each subsequent spin.
Feature Buy (Super Charge)
Super Charge includes several options to skip the base game and buy direct access to selected features:
Enhanced Spin – 1.5x the bet. More than doubles the probability of triggering a bonus round.

Verdict
Money Train has become Relax Gaming’s most successful franchise, so perhaps it’s retirement was never going to last. Money Train 4 appeared to mark the final destination in 2023, but three years later, the series has returned for a fifth instalment.
Crucially, Money Train 5 has more justification for its existence than the strength of its name. The familiar 5×4 grid and Money Cart Bonus preserve the foundations of earlier releases. Nuclear Wilds, Tickets and station progression now alter how the action develops. The Bomber, Pyromancer and Permanent Payer expand the bonus further without overwhelming an already excellent format.
Station unlocks provide a clear objective during the bonus, while the shifting grid means progress physically changes as the game progresses. Standard and Ultra modes introduce another layer without abandoning the series identity.
Money Train 5 retains the character and elaborate bonus system that established the franchise. However, Relax Gaming has dug a little deeper and produced new territory to warrant the unexpected return.
