Midas Coins Design

The graphics are crisp and clean but the images are quite basic in comparison to other slots with a similar theme. There are tall green trees to the right and stone columns to the left of the 5×3 reels and an orchestral soundtrack to accompany the game.

The reels have a black background allowing the symbols to stand out nicely. Symbols are J to A royals, a bracelet, a necklace and a ring. The necklace pays the most, giving you 32x your stake for 5 on a payline.

The wild is the gold statue which can replace any other symbols except the scatter and also gives you a 32x payout for 5 on a payline.

Gameplay and Features

There are coin symbols that can land on the 1^st to 4^th reels and when they do, they can give you a random multiplier of between 1x and 500x your stake. If you also land a Midas on the 5^th reel, the Midas Coin collect feature is activated. This collects all the coins landed and adds them up to award you the total sum.

To trigger the free spins round you need to land at least 3 Satyr scatter symbols on the 1^st, 3^rd and 5^th reels. You’ll start with 12 free spins and get a 2x multiplier payout before you start.  During the round, the value of the stack of coins to the left, gets added for each free spin. You begin with a 3x multiplier which increases, and when Midas lands, he collects the coins to give you your payout.

After Midas lands, the coins don’t reset, but continue to grow in value. You can also re-trigger the free spins feature when you land more scatters.

Verdict

This is a neat little design with some great gameplay. The multipliers and free spins can lead to a decent payout and overall, it’s a solid title that’s worth a spin or two.
