About Jumbo Jellies
Available to play across all devices, the action takes place on 6 reels with 20 ways to win, costing 20p up to £100 per spin. With a medium volatility, RTP is set at a below average 95.48% which isn’t great.
The excellent design sees the background filled with colourful trees, a lake, a bridge, lollipops and plants made of jellies. The reels are encased in a steampunk-style gold frame with sweet-related symbols including royal card suits, jelly bears, cherries, cola bottles, crocodiles and tutti fruity straps. The rainbow wild substitutes all barring the chocolate ball scatter and awards 7.5x for 5 on a payline.
Gameplay
The Jumbo Pop Reels are central to the game. The reels are split into 9 segments, each containing 2 symbols. Landing a winning combination with a segment that contains 2 matching symbols, activates the Jumbo Pop reels. All symbols in that row transform into jumbo symbols, and any matching symbols become Jumbo wilds. Each time this is triggered the grid size increases by 1, 2 or 3 jumbo rows giving you 25, 35 or 40 paylines respectively.
The streak repsins are active after triggering the Jumbo Pop reels awarding a respin. Landing more wins increases the respins, plus the 1x multiplier increases after each win.
The free spins trigger after landing 3 chocolate ball scatters on a spin awarding 6 free spins. The free spins are played on a 3×3 set of reels with the triggering symbols locked in position. You receive 2 additional free spins for each extra scatter landing, and these also lock in position. This continues until either the reels are full of scatter symbols, or the free spins are used.
The free spins have an additional feature, guaranteed Win Streak respins. Jumbo rows are active for the duration of the free spins and do not reset back to their original size.
Verdict
Jumbo Jellies is a superbly designed slot providing immersive gameplay. The Jumbo Pop Reels mechanic are extremely lucrative during the respins, but the RTP is somewhat disappointing.
