Straight away, this game hits the mark from a design perspective. The graphics are ultra-crisp and it doesn’t feel cheap or cartoon-like, it’s more like a sleek board game.
The gold-framed reels are set against the backdrop of the deck of the pirate ship. There is the ship’s wheel and the cargo netting hanging in the background. There is a pay table to one side where you see your winnings tot up and the treasure map to show you how far you’re progressing through the game.
Symbols include a gold coin, compass, 1 bar, 2 bars, 3 bars, rum bottles and a treasure chest. The latter also acts as the wild.
Gameplay and Features
When you land wins, not only do you add up your winnings, but you get to roll dice and move along through the game on the treasure map. The higher the amount you roll on the dice, the more you get to advance on the map and collect bonuses as you go. The bonuses can range from 2x, 3x and 5x multipliers, 10 to 20 free spins or wild reels.
If you’re awarded the free spins, you play these only when you reach the red cross on the map. The treasure chest is locked as the free spins begin, but as you spin and roll the dice, when you match up the numbers on the dice, you get to unlock the chest, potentially winning 200x your stake.
Verdict
This is a great slot, especially for 3 reels. It’s fun, feels like a board game and has plenty of additional features to keep you immersed. Just be careful, as it is rather volatile though!
