This is a classic fruit machine design but manages to feel fresh and modern at the same time. The 5×3 frameless reels are set against a black background, flanked by flames. There’s no soundtrack as such but it does have all the sound effects you’d hear on a regular slot machine.
The graphics are clear and crisps, and symbols consist of cherries, oranges, strawberries, plums, melons, an X, BAR’s and a flaming red 7. These range in value from 0.1x your stake up to 250x your stake for the red 7 when you land 5 on a payline.
Gameplay and Features
As you’ll guess from the title of this slot, the hold and spin feature is central to the action. There are 2 bonus symbols, a diamond and a sun. These have cash values and can land anywhere. If you land 5 on a spin, the Hold and Spin feature is activated.
Here, the cash values all stay in place and the other symbols will fade away, with a new reel set appearing. You’ll receive 4 respins and during these, the cash values will lock into place. Any additional cash value that lands will reset the respins back to 4. Once you have finished all your respins, all of the cash values on the screen will be added up and put in your prize pot.
You can also trigger a bonus wheel if you manage to fill the grid with cash symbols. The bonus wheel has cash values and blanks. Land on a cash value and you’ll win that prize and get another spin, and this continues until you land on a blank segment when the game ends.
Verdict
This is a simple yet really effective slot. It’s not the most exciting, but classic slots don’t tend to be. But it has been developed really well with a great top prize.
