With a title like Golden Girls, you’d be forgiven for assuming this slot was based on the classic television show that followed a group of ladies enjoying their retirement years.
However, if this is your expectation, you’re in for something of a shock, because the Golden Girls slot from Booming Games could not be much further away from the television show of the same name!
A beach-themed game coated in scantily clad, glamorous women looking unnecessarily serious while they stare out from the screen, this is a slot that has clearly gone for the most base-level marketing strategy, sex sells.
About the slot
A five-reel slot game with 25 paylines, everything about Golden Girls visually is fairly predictable, but if ladies in revealing clothing near beaches is your thing, then predictable is probably what you’re after.
Four ladies in bathing suits are the main value symbols here, with beach balls and other beach related items also making an appearance to continue the theme.
The surf board is the wild, while the shark warning is the scatter symbol, with a chirpy, and frankly irritating soundtrack playing in the background.
Gameplay
The gameplay here is mainly centred around wilds, the wild symbols here come with a multiplier of up to 4x, so they can be a great help to winning combinations, especially as they are also able to expand.
Land three scatter symbols and you’ll trigger the free spins feature, which gives you 10 free spins, nothing much happens here, the gameplay is much the same, but with 50,000 coins available in the base game, there’s still wins to be had, and the free spins feature can also be re-triggered.
There is the ability to win big here, if you’re lucky, but the game itself is about as derivative as they come.
