Golden Cryptex from software provider Red Tiger Games is an intriguing new slot game all about code cracking. The game comes with golden spins, a golden pointer bonus and a second chance feature, where you could see wins of up to 1,525x your stake.
About
Golden Cryptex is a 5 reel, 3 payline slot, playable from 10p up to £60 per spin across all devices, the game is medium to high variance and RTP is set at 95.78%.
A Victorian theme with an Art Deco feel is the theme of the slot. A Cryptex is a cylindrical device with rows and symbols, they can rotate and realign, if you get the symbols into the right combination, it will open up.
The reels are set in an ornate silver cylindrical case on a dark red background, they are filled with symbols that consist of 10 to the A card royals, gold bells, horseshoes, stars and 7s which are the highest paying of the symbols and will give you 150x your stake for 5.
Gameplay
Above the reel set is the Cryptex code with 5 symbols, these are all Aces in the base game but during the Free Spins feature, they will be different symbols.
The Golden pointer is located on the left of the reels and during the base game it points to the middle row. You need to find 5 Aces on the middle row, and you will be awarded 10 golden spins. If you only find 3 or 4 Aces, then you will trigger the Second Chance feature and the other reels will re-spin.
Another feature is the Golden Spins Bonus, the symbols in the Cryptex code will upgrade and you can win a cash prize if matching symbols land in any position on the 5 reels.
If you can crack the code during the bonus round, you will get 3 bonus spins and the Cryptex code symbols will upgrade.
Golden Cryptex is a great game to play, the graphics were plain yet engaging, and the soundtrack is quite upbeat with an air of mystery, it adds to the games appeal. Golden Cryptex was fun to play but didn’t pay out often, you could potentially see wins of up to 1,525x your stake.
