Forgotten Island Megaways Design
We are deep in the lush green jungle with treew, foliage and stunning waterfalls, with shards of sunlight making their way through the jungle canopy. There is the main gorilla character alongside the reels, and the graphics are really high definition.
The reels have a bamboo frame with vines around, and symbols include 9 to A royals as the lower values, with lanterns, hooks, treasure books and gorilla skulls as the higher values. The gorilla skull is the most valuable, paying out up 50x your stake for 5 on a payline.
The wild symbol is the compass and substitutes all others except the scatters and can only appear on the very top reel.
Gameplay and Features
Forgotten Island utilises the Megaways mechanic which has become a player favourite. The first feature is the rolling reels. Every time you land a win, winning symbols are removed, and the reels continue rolling, adding replacement symbols. This continues every time wins are formed and occur in both the base game and free spins round.
The Kong Spin feature triggers randomly and when it does, the gorilla wakes up and awards a multiplier of up to 10x your stake.
If you land at least 4 scatters, this activates the free spins round. 4 scatters will give you 10 free spins, 5 scatters give you 12 free spins and every extra scatter give s2 more free spins. The also come with an increasing multiplier.
Verdict
This is one of the better designed slots that have been released. It looks beautiful and the multipliers and free spins can build up nicely. If you manage to wake up kong, that really adds to the excitement! While overall, this is an excellent title, unfortunately the pay outs aren’t as big as some other megaways slots which lets it down only slightly.
