Themes for online slot games vary from the confusingly complex to the incredibly simple, and Flame from NextGen very much falls into that second category, as this is a slot based on the theme of, well, flames.
A rather charming and soothing slot with a host of different features on offer, the simplicity of the concept does not take away from how good a slot Flame is.
About the slot
The flames here have a blue and purple colour scheme, which adds to the sense of tranquillity that the slot possesses, while the reels are adorned with flames, teardrops, lightning, and more, with the four card suits making up the lower values.
With five-reels and 20 paylines, Flame is playable from 15p to £150 a spin on all compatible desktop, mobile, and tablet devices, and has three animal symbols on the reels as well, a lion, a wolf, and an eagle, which are the highest value symbols, the lion paying 250x your stake for five on a payline.
Gameplay
When it comes to features, Flame has a stack for you to enjoy, including seven mini games that features in the base game, including the Live Embers Mini-Feature, where all ow value symbols on the middle three reels are turned wild, the Firestorm Mini-Feature, which combines wild and bonus symbols into Wild-Bonus symbols, and the Flare Up Mini-Feature, where flames rise up to give a multiplier of up to 10x your win on the current spin.
Land three scatters, and you’ll make your way to the free spins feature and receive 15 spins to start with, which can be retriggered once for a maximum of 30 spins.
The mini-features trigger more frequently during this feature too, which works nicely if you get the multipliers on several spins!
Proof that complicated isn’t always the best way, Flame is an excellent slot from NextGen.
