Exploding Fruits developed by Evoplay is a classic, fruit filled video slot with a modern space theme. Features include added ways to win, Free Spins and symbol collection meters.
About
Exploding Fruits is a medium variance video slot with RTP set at 96%. The game is played across 3 reels and 27 paylines, with stakes ranging from 10p up to £500 per spin across all devices.
Set deep in space, a small spaceship shoots at symbols above, it’s all very reminiscent of the old-fashioned space invaders game from the 80s.
There are no reels as such, the fruits just float in space. Symbols include cherries, lemons, plums, oranges, grapes, watermelons, BARs and flaming 7s which is the highest paying symbol awarding 15x your stake for 3 on a payline. A joker’s hat and mask is the Wild and substitutes all symbols.
Gameplay and Features
Wins are created by 3 matching symbols landing across a payline beginning on reel 1. Winning combinations see the spaceship shoot the fruits into oblivion and new ones take their place. The symbols that are blasted away fill the meters at the side of the reel set.
The game has a Galaxy of Free Spins feature, there are energy bars on the side of the reels, the feature will trigger when they are fully lit. An extra row is added to the reels and Ultra Jokers which are sticky wilds are added to either side. The ways to win now increases from 27 to 64 for the feature.
Exploding Fruits opts for retro, neon style fruits and the soundtrack has an electronic theme. I loved the 80s gaming vibe with the spaceship blasting the fruits. There isn’t much to the gameplay, it’s straightforward but I still found it enjoyable. The most you can expect to win is 831x your stake.
