Get ready for a hip hop battle like no other, with NoLimit City’s gritty and highly volatile slot release, East Coast Vs West Coast. It was released in February 2021 and features mystery symbols, free spins, splitting symbols, multipliers, wilds, scatters and wild nudges. If you fancy a spin on the reels it will cost between 20p and £100 per stake, and the top prize on offer is 30618x your wager.
East Coast Vs West Coast Design
Design is based on the hip hop rivalry of the 1990s which saw two of hip hop’s greatest, The Notorious B.I.G and 2Pac, being shot and killed. The backgrounds are split between the gritty city streets of New York, and the sunny palm lined beaches of California. There is graffiti style graphics and a heavy hip hop soundtrack. It’s a brilliant design and a welcome change to all the Egyptian or Ancient Greece themed slots.
Symbols are 10 to A lower values, with a dog, a ghetto blaster, and various dollar bills with either Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln or George Washington as higher values. Benjamin Franklin is the highest paying, giving you 7.5x your wager for 5 in a combination and the gold ring is the wild which can substitute all other symbols except the scatter.
Gameplay and Features
There are various features which are activated via the Drive By Spins, East Coast Spins or West Coast spins, which are in turn, triggered by landing scatter symbols. These features are:
The X Nudge Wilds where a wild is added to the reels and nudges up or down until the reel is filled. This comes with an increasing multiplier and can be active on multiple reels.
The X Ways feature sees all x ways symbols turn into 2 or 3 of the same symbol. The reel then expands to increase your paylines.
The Linked Reels feature sees at least 2 reels syncing with the same symbol combination to increase your chance of landing a win.
The Multipliers Feature combines multipliers to boost your winnings.
The Infectious X Ways Feature is when 1 symbol is chosen to be infected and expand and each of the same symbol will do the same.
Free spins are also triggered by scatters and there is also a bonus feature where you have the choice between free spins and multipliers.
Verdict
East Coast Vs West Coast is a superbly designed slot that everyone will enjoy, regardless of your music taste. There is plenty of action and features to keep you engaged and the top prize is pretty impressive too.
