Drone Wars is a 25 payline, 5 reel video slot powered by Microgaming. This 3D slot is ideal for fans of the sci-fi genre as it is set in space where alien invaders are just part of everyday life. Drone Wars has some excellent features such as the chance to win free spins and its generous wild and scatter symbols which will be a great help towards winning the maximum jackpot win of £4,000.
Theme
The vast universe and sci-fi seems to be the main theme and attraction of this video slot as the reels are bursting with themed icons. A starry sky can be seen behind the reels which emphasizes the theme further. The paylines are marked down either side of the reels and look similar to buttons that you might find on board a grand spaceship. Symbols on the reels include traditional poker symbols such as 10, J, Q, K and A. Other icons include drones, ray guns, spaceships, men with colourful helmets and the twisting scatter symbol.
Wild Symbol
The wild is the purple and pink sphere icon. The wild can replace any other regular symbol on the reels in order to complete a win. A prize will be paid out each time two or more wilds appear on an active payline. Another paying icon is the cyclops symbol. When three or more of these appear on the reels, players have to choose one of the two possible bonus games.
Planetary Assault Game
The main aim of this game is to defeat and destroy the opposing drone base. Each time you successfully blow up a drone, you will be rewarded with either an extra shield or a coin payout. If you manage to defeat the drone base, you will be rewarded with a 50x multiplier to your initial stake.
Space Attack Game
Choosing this bonus game will reward you with five free spins. Prowling drones will help more wilds appearing on the reels during these free spins which is more likely to result in some great wins.
