Software giant NetEnt have chosen to go down a dark and murky route with their latest offering, Dark King Forbidden Riches. There’s terrifying things in store as you are taken deep inside the lair of an entity known as the Dark King.

About

Back in the King’s lair the slot is played over a 5 reels, 3 rows grid with 20 paylines. This medium to high volatility slot comes with a healthy RTP of 96.06% with bets ranging from 20p up to £400 per spin.

The pay table starts with lower symbols 10-A Royals all displayed with a gothic font. By landing five on a payline you’ll be awarded 2.5 to 5x your stake. There are four minions plus the Dark King. Each of these are worth 12.5 to 25x your stake. A swirling orb is valued the same as the king but this symbol substitutes all barring the Scatter. The wild is present in both features of the game

Gameplay and Features

To find a winning combination land 3 or more matching symbols on a payline.

Sticky Wilds and multipliers are what this slot is all about. If two or more wilds land in the base game a multiplier is activated The amount of wilds you land will determine the size of the multiplier, up to x5.

Watch out for the red gem scatter landing anywhere on the reels. 3, 4 or 5 triggers 10, 12 or 15 free spins. When the free spins start a hotspot emerges on the reels, this area is fixed in the shape of a heart and sits on reels, 2,3 and 4.

Any wild that lands in the feature in the heart shape becomes sticky, plus each new sticky wild landing adds another free spin, multipliers are added depending on wilds and sticky wilds to the maximum value of 5x.

NetEnt have gone out of their way to create a dark and wicked slot with Dark King Forbidden Riches. The game is quite straightforward and the base game is provided with a plus in the shape of the wild multiplier. The free spins also offer wilds and multipliers and you could see wins of up to 2,000x your stake on every spin.
