Crystal Quest: Arcane Tower Design
We’re on an adventure with Gemma, in an underground city in search of crystals from the Arcane tower. There is a blue/purple background but it’s difficult to make out any specific background features other than some gnarled trees and stone blocks.
Graphics are bright and bold, and the bright colourful symbols appear on stone slabs. The symbols are various coloured crystals as the lower values and a wizard and warrior as the higher values. There is also wild W symbol which substitutes all other symbols except the scatter.
Gameplay and Features
There are 5 bonus features here. The avalanche feature is pretty standard, whereby any symbols that form wins are removed and new symbols drop down to replace them, hoping to form more wins. Every time this feature occurs, a multiplier is added and increases by 1x and this goes on indefinitely until the feature ends.
When 6 adjacent reels become linked, this is the Linked Reels feature and all symbols will be a copy of each other.
If you land at least 3 treasure chests, this triggers the bonus game and starts you off with 12 free spins. Any scatters that land also reward you with free spins and when the avalanche feature is in play, the multiplier doesn’t re-set. If you don’t land any wins but there are wilds on the reels, these will explode (the Wild Explosion Feature) and removes all other symbols except the scatter. Verdict
This is packed full of features and there’s plenty of opportunity to win from all the free spins and multipliers. The design is a little lack-lustre when compared to some other slots, but it’s still a great game nonetheless.
