Turn the chill factor up high with this wintery themed slot from Quickspin named Crystal Prince. This is a medium to high variance slot with an RTP of 96.04%, You can wager from 20p to £100 a spin and features include free spins, multipliers, scatters and wilds.
Crystal Prince Design
Quickspin have sought inspiration from their Nordic roots with this wintery slot game. There are snow topped trees set against the northern lights in the sky. The 6 x 8 reels are made up of 48 tiles with 4 new symbols dropping into place on each spin.
The design is actually quite simple yet effective and the soundtrack is really relaxing and atmospheric. Symbols are made up of coloured snowflakes making the lower grade symbols, and coloured gems as the middle grade symbols. The prince is the highest paying symbol with 6 on a row paying out x2 your wager.
There are wilds and frost wilds which can substitute any other symbol on the grid.
Gameplay and Features
There is a neat snowfall mechanic which features here, along with a blizzard mode, blizzard seal and free spins. If you land a sequence 8 rows high, this breaks the blizzard seal and 1 to 3 wild frost multiplier wilds are added. This also triggers the blizzard mode.
During the blizzard mode feature, any scatters, wilds, high symbols or winning symbols remain while a blizzard of other symbols tumble down and fall into place forming winning combinations.
A large blue snowflake acts as a scatter awarding up to 20 free spins depending on how many land. 2 Scatters will also give you 3 free spins.
If you don’t want to wait for these bonus features, you can also buy them with 60x your wager.
Verdict
This is a pretty simple design that’s been executed well and has some really nice features to make it exciting and immersive. Everything appears to have been thought about and the whole thing comes together nicely. The maximum win of x11630 your wager will also appeal to most.
