Book of Kingdoms Design
Unlike the other ‘Book of’ titles, we’re not in Egypt this time. The graphics are excellent; highly details, crisp and clear, which is a good start, but it all feels a little too familiar in terms of overall theme. There isn’t the usual Egyptian imagery, but instead we’re within a jungle, with Aztec style monuments, monkeys, a sultan and snakes. The soundtrack fits the theme well and overall, it’s very pleasing to the eye.
Gameplay and Features
You can wager from 25p up to a huge £250 per spin for the high rollers out there. As well as a book slot bonus round, there is also a Hold & Win jackpot respins feature. In order to trigger the money respins, you need to land at least 5 silver coins. These will also become sticky on a new reel set. You’ll have 3 respins to begin with and new coins become sticky. When a coin lands the respins will re-set and only coins and blanks will land. During this feature you can win up to x1000 your wager.
The book symbol is the scatter and the wild. When it’s a wild it will replace any other symbol on the reels and when it acts as a scatter, land 3 or 4 of these for x1 to x20 your wager. If you land at least 3 scatters this triggers the free spins round giving you 5 free spins to begin with.
Verdict
The graphics are excellent but there is nothing new in terms of gameplay and features as these are all pretty standard. If you’re already a fan of the ‘Book of’ series, then it’s certainly worth a spin or two, but the low maximum win of x1000 your wager may put players off.
