Love blackjack? Love slots? Can’t decide which to play? Check out Blackjack Cats, a unique slot game concept based on the card game, blackjack. Asylum Labs bring you this 5×3 slot to be launched in April 2021. It has a bonus game, multipliers and wilds, and an RTP set at 96.15%.
It’s optimised to play on all devices and you can bet from 10p up to a huge £500 per spin, so high rollers might want to take note.
Blackjack Cats Design
Blackjack Cats is set in a dark, litter strewn alley, with the neon sign above, a dark purple sky and white moonlight lighting up the background. It has a really authentic feel to it and the graphics are excellent.
There are 3 cool cats sat at a table to the right of the reels, and another dealer cat in a red waistcoat to the left.
The symbols are neon light style royals, with 5 other cat symbols. The female cat with the crown is the most valuable and the mouse with the jester’s hat acts as the wild.
Gameplay and Features
Like with blackjack, the aim is to get as close to 21 without going over. Here you need to score at least 17 without going bust. When you do, the reel above the blackjack hand becomes a hot reel and you’ll receive extra wilds.
The wilds have a multiplier which depend on your score. Scores of 18 or 19 give you a 2x multiplier and scores of 20 or 21 give you a 3x multiplier. If you land blackjack, you’ll get a 4x multiplier.
If you manage a run of scoring 17 or more on all 5 hands, the skyline bonus game is triggered giving you 7 free spins and sticky wilds.
Verdict
It’s not often you come across a truly innovative game and this nicely merges a video slot with blackjack. The design is great and it’s safe to safe any slot or blackjack lover will really enjoy this unusual take on this theme.
