With a name like Beauty Fairy, you may be expecting this slot from Amatic to have a bright and pleasant design to it, but the opposite is true.
A dark, almost eerie theme is used throughout, while the tone of the slot still attempts to maintain the optimism of the title, it’s strange, but does it work?
About the slot
With six reels and 20 paylines, Beauty Fairy is playable from 20p to £20 a spin on all compatible desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
The darkness here is provided by the dark blue colour scheme, and while the neon symbols on the reels do add colour, it creates more of a futuristic look than one suitable for a slot with this theme.
Seeing the J, Q, K, and A symbols play the part of the lower values is always a shame when a slot has so much scope for imagery, but the themed images that do appear on the reels, that include hummingbirds and toadstools, do look nice.
The fairy is the jackpot symbol, while the butterfly plays the wild and the flower acts as the bonus symbol.
Gameplay
With six reels and stacked symbols, there are certainly a few ways to pick up nice wins in the base game if you’re lucky, but it’s the Free Spins feature that is the one to look out for here.
Two bonus symbols anywhere on the reels will trigger seven free spins, and if you land two more during the feature, another seven will be triggered.
That’s impressive in itself, but adding to the chances to win here are the wilds, which stick to the reels for the duration of the feature every time they land.
A nice slot from Amatic, if an odd one in terms of design, Beauty Fairy isn’t complex, but it is effective.
