As I mentioned above the game area is quite large but leaves enough background to make out the farm buildings, green grass, and bright blue sky. On the reels, there are various fruit and veg, along with low-value royals card suits. The oranges, toadstools, aubergines, and corn on the cob are the higher paying symbols, 12 matching symbols award between 10-50x the bet.
Gameplay
Included in Barn Festival are the tumble reels, respins, and win multipliers.
The tumbling feature is similar to the cascading reels where symbols in a winning combination fall away and new symbols replace them, hopefully forming new wins and more tumbles.
During a tumble, if three money symbols land, their values transform into win multipliers. These values are added together and applied to the next win. If you collect 3 money symbols but don’t hit a win they are collected until the next win.
If you land 4+ money symbols the Money Respins trigger. The grid now transforms into 4×5 and all the triggering money symbols remain sticky for 3 respins. Each additional special symbol remains sticky and resets the respins back to 3. The special symbols include:
Add Value – All money symbols get a random value added, then turn into a money symbol
Multiply – multiplies between 2 and 5 money symbols by 2x, 3x, 4x or 5x, then transforms into a money symbol
Collect – All money symbol values are collected
Unlock – An additional reel is added, the Unlock symbols transform into money symbols
Persistent add – Extra values are added to any money symbols on the grid, along with the ones on the following respin
Persistent Collect – All values of the current money symbols, along with the money symbol values throughout the respins
The respins end when they are all used, or, if the grid is full which awards 500x the total bet.
Verdict
Barn Festival is a superb slot packed with innovative features. Although the theme is not unique, it’s a fun game with a decent win potential and a top prize of 20,000x the bet
