Bank Heist is a 5-reel, 15-payline video slot powered by Rival Gaming. Also known as Reel Crime: Bank Heist, this non-progressive video slot is the first in a 2-part series – the sequel is called Art Heist. Players are tasked with breaking into a bank, grabbing the stash, and making their getaway. There are multiple levels to the Bonus rounds that help you complete the quest, making this more than just your standard slot – it’s a whole game experience if you can stay the distance.
Games
The base game is a standard 5-reel, 15 payline format. This slot is really all about the bonus rounds, and the Tommy Gun Scatter symbol is the key to unlocking these – land 3+ anywhere on the reels to launch yourself into the real fun.
Design
The design of Bank Heist has a distinct retro-feel – the symbols are sharp and cartoon-like, and based on 1930s imagery of an iconic Bank Heist. There are knuckledusters, a pair of spats, a police baton, violin case, gangster silhouette, a bag of cash, gangster hat and a bottle of alcohol – all perfect for drawing you into the theme, with some great sound effects too.
Bonuses and Features
Use the Map button on the top right of the screen to gain an overview of how the story progresses. Once you’ve triggered the bonus rounds here is what you can expect:
Stage 1 – The Plan – shoot various items on screen for cash prizes. You must find the Key to progress to the In the Bank stage. If you fail, you leap directly to the On the Run stage
Stage 2 – In the Bank – a reel-based bonus where you are seeking to unlock the vault before being captured by the policeman. Your fate is decided by whether you first land 3+ Scatter symbols showing the Vault (you win and advance to the Dynamite stage), or the Policeman (you lose but gain some Losers Free Spins)
Stage 3 – On the Run – this works in the same way as Stage 2 and allows progression either to the Dynamite stage, or delivers the Losers Free Spins round
Stage 4 – Dynamite – returns you to the reels and 3 different sets of Scatters – Dynamite, Getaway and Caught – each wins you various levels of Free Spins, some with Multipliers
Losers Free Spins – you end up here if you fail in Stages 2, 3, or 4 – choose a gangster and a vault to find out how many Free Spins you win, and with what level Multiplier
Bear in mind that, with the exception of true Free Spins, game play in the bonus rounds is not free. You will still be wagering your cash on each spin.
