Almighty Aztec Design
There are plenty of Aztec themed slot games out there already, but they’ve proven to be a popular design, so why not continue? The Almighty Aztec design is actually really bright and bold, not just a wash of beige stones and the graphics are crisp and clean. With lush green foliage in the background and stone reels set within the jungle, it’s aesthetically pleasing. The jungle soundtrack matches the theme perfectly and speeds up as you play, adding to the excitement.
Symbols include precious coloured gems which are all lower value, through to birds, snakes, rune stones and female Aztec women. The sun disk is the wild symbol and only lands on the three central reels but can substitute any other symbol.
Gameplay and Features
The slot is set on a 5 x 3 grid and you can play from 10p to £100 a spin. The wild symbols are what the game is focussed on. Every time you land wilds, they expand to cover the full grid and you can also land additional wilds on any spin.
In order to trigger the free spins round, you need to land 3 or more scatters. When this happens, the 3rd reel becomes wild and there is also the chance to turn the reels either side wild too.
Verdict
Design wise, Almighty Aztec is excellent. It manages to make an overdone theme feel new and exciting. The gameplay is traditional but very well executed and the only real downside is the low 500x maximum win from a bet, which is on the low side for a medium volatility game.
