Aeterna Design
This looks nothing like any other slot game out there. Rather than the traditional reel layout, Aeterna is the world’s first Orbital Reacto game which uses its own pay rules to land wins. It looks rather like a small Trivial Pursuit layout with the deep space background and a complimentary soundtrack. The reels don’t ‘spin’ in the usual way, instead the symbols scroll across the pay lines and it’s really nice to see developers push the boat out in terms of innovation and design.
Symbols are bright shapes rather than traditional images and the bright green cube has the highest value. If 3,4,5 or 6 land, you ‘ll win 12x, 50x, 100, or 1000x your wager.
Gameplay and features
There are no wilds but there are free spins and bonus features. Twin boosters will boost a 3 of a kind win to a 6 of a kind win and if you land a winning combo of any symbol other than the bonus symbol (which is the A symbol), this will trigger the cascade feature. During this feature, any winning symbols disappear and are replaced by new symbols and this keeps continuing until there are no more wins available.

Verdict
If you want something different or are bored of the usual slot games, Aeterna really does give you something totally unique from anything else. It may take a while to get used to the game engine, but it’s not a complicated slot whatsoever. There are plenty of neat bonuses and it’s nice to see developers take risks with new designs.
