This slot was released to coincide with the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. It references the sporting gladiators participating in the Games.

About 2016 Gladiators
The first thing that leaps out is that the reels have no filler symbols. So many slots are ruined, at least a little, by the presence of face cards on the reels that have nothing to do with the theme. With 2016 Gladiators, you get nothing but relevant sporting images.
This is a lovely slot with imagery perfectly complemented by music and sound effects. Although the commentary is jarring at times.

The bonus round may seem odd unless you have played the original Gladiators slot from Endorphina.
Three, four or five scatters on a spin award 10, 20 or 50 free spins, respectively. All wins from the free spins are multiplied. After each win, a group of winning sportsman symbols are chosen and awarded a laurel wreath. The laurel wreaths stay for the duration of the spins unless none of the winning sportsman symbols land.
If five football player symbols land on a spin, a 3,000 jackpot is awarded.
