Yggdrasil’s Wolf Hunters set to launch next month
Wolf Hunters is set to become Yggdrasil’s first major slot release of September 2018. Launching next month, this 5-reel, 20-line game has an element of the supernatural about it. You can forget about trapping wolves for fur – this game is all about hunting werewolves.
The hunt is on in this new game, which is set to cost between 0.20 per spin and 100.00, with line bets being fixed at around 5.00 a pop. So we know the theme, and we know the wagering ranges, but what about the features?
Bonus features
Whenever a werewolf lands on the reels, one of the hunters will try to kill it. If they are successful, that werewolf becomes a frozen wild, and a re-spin is issued to the player so that they can make use of that. By striking the werewolf, hunters can gain health points or rage points. Health points will trigger a Slayer Spins when they drop to zero, and rage points can trigger a Rage Spins bonus when they reach 100 points.
Free spins can also be triggered via scatters, and you only need them to appear twice on the reels to trigger the bonus. You’ll start this basic bonus with just 10 spins and no added features. Rage spins can see a hunter’s abilities upgraded for the 7 free spins that the bonus offers. Meanwhile, Slayer Spins offers 10 free games with werewolves automatically replaced by wilds in the feature.
Players can also upgrade their hunter symbols as they play by landing and those, in turn, improve your strikes on the wolf (giving you easier access to the free spin features), and this can also turn wilds into expanding wilds.
It all sounds a lot more complicated than it will prove to be when Wolf Hunters finally debuts at Yggdrasil casinos at some point next month.
