WWTBAM set to be launched by Big Time Gaming
Following the rather successful mini-run of Who Wants to be a Millionaire over the summer to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary, there has been a bit of a revival of interest in the game show. Now Big Time Gaming are aiming to keep that flowing, after announcing that they intend on launching a WWTBAM slot later this year.
About the slot
The details are few and far between at the moment, but we do know that the Who Wants to be a Millionaire slot will be one of the MegaWays slots which are currently proving ever so popular between Blueprint Gaming and BTG right now.
The slot will officially be unveiled (albeit as a preview) at the G2E Las Vegas event next month, and many are predicting that all the elements of the classic game show will be present in the game. One would assume that this means the lifelines (Phone a Friend, 50/50 and Ask the Audience) will be worked into the design of the slot in some way, shape or form.
The new game is set to debut on November 18, although it will be a timed exclusive for just a handful of the biggest online casino sites. It is likely to then be available at all good online casinos offering Microgaming’s Quickfire and Scientific Game’s open platforms.
The license for the franchise was awarded to Big Time Gaming earlier this year, so work seems to have been going on around the clock to get it ready for release in just under two months’ time. Although they are a small-scale developer, BTG has entered into a partnership with Blueprint Gaming of late, and their MegaWays slots are taking off. With a hugely popular brand such as WWTBAM behind it, many are predicting that this upcoming slot could be the game which makes them.
