We have known for some time now that IGT no longer holds the license to Monopoly themed slots. Whilst we do not know what will happen to those games that IGT has already developed with Monopoly themes, we do know that Scientific Games have taken over that license.

There Is Hope

Last month one of Scientific Games companies, Barcrest, launched the first Monopoly title to be released under the Scientific Games banner. In all honesty, Monopoly Big Event has not fared too well, but there is hope for the first of WMS Gaming’s (another company under the control of Scientific Games) two Monopoly themed slots.

Known as Super Monopoly Money, this WMS Gaming developed title launched this week at all good casinos offering WMS Gaming software. The title features 5 reels and 25 lines, with minimum bets costing just 0.35 a pop. The slot features free spins, a Free Parking Bonus, as well as a money wheel bonus game and plenty of wilds.

Monopoly Themed Games

The slot is the first of two new WMS Gaming developed Monopoly themed games, with the second known as Monopoly Roulette Hot. This second title is not thought to be ready for launch until July this year.

When compared with the recently released Monopoly Big Event, WMS Gaming’s Super Monopoly Money is far better looking, has way more special features and is a treat to play. It is also significantly better to play than any of IGT’s Monopoly themed slots, which as you read this are still doing the rounds on the internet. Perhaps they are still going to be online after all? As we’ve said, the new Super Monopoly Money slot can be found at plenty of top casinos offering WMS Gaming titles from this week onwards.
