Playtech unveil twin Age of Gods video previews

We reported a while ago now that Playtech was planning on replacing their Marvel Mystery Progressive Jackpot Network, superhero themed slots with a new range of mythology and ancient deity games. That move looks ever more likely to occur sooner rather than later, after Playtech unveiled two new video previews of two of their games this week.
Age Of Gods: Furious 4
Age of Gods: Furious 4 marks Playtech’s first dive into the Ancient Greek mythology arena, in what amounts to a 5-reel, 25-line video slot. At its cheapest, the slot is only going to cost 0.25 per spin, and its four main gods include Prometheus, Apollo, Pandora, and Atlas. Players will be able to pocket a total of 12 free spins in the bonus game, with a free spins bonus available for each of the four gods in the game. Expanding symbols, increasing multipliers, locked symbols, and frozen symbols are all a part of the quadruple progressive jackpot game’s bonus feature.
Age of Gods
Then there is the main game, which is known as Age of Gods. This slot contains 5 reels and 20 paylines, meaning it will be cheaper to play at just 0.20 per spin. Athena, Hercules, Poseidon, and Zeus are the gods to grace the stage in this game. A power-reels feature can see players who line up all 5 of the Pantheon gods on the reels win a cash prize. Free spins with random multipliers can be won in Athena’s bonus, whilst Zeus’ bonus offers you increasing multipliers and locked wilds (just like in Iron Man 2). The Poseidon bonus in Age of Gods promises random wilds, and stacked wilds make up Hercules’ bonus.
Changing Faces not Design
In these aspects, Age of Gods is quite similar to the already existing Marvel Mystery Progressive Jackpot Network slots. One has to ask then, if Playtech is simply keeping its winning design, and changing the faces of its games?
