It was bound to happen sooner or later, and Playtech are first away from the blocks in the race to cash in on the forthcoming games with their Wild Games Olympic-themed slot. As you may be able to guess from the title, the competitors are animals rather than humans, though in the crazy world of slot games that makes perfect sense: There are bulldogs in the swimming pool, cheetahs running the 100 metre sprint and a hippo on the balance beam, but never mind all that. There’s cash to be won, with bronze, silver and gold medals taking you to the bonus rounds if you can line them up on an active payline. The amount that can then be won depends on the medals that triggered the bonus round, with bronze bonuses paying up to 40 times the bet amount, silver paying up to 70 times and gold paying up to 100 times.

Each of the animals play their role too: When matched up with the same breed on an active payline they trigger an event, and the medals they win determine how many free spins you’ll get, with up to ten on offer.
