Playtech finally unveils their Dark Knight slot at casinos
The Dark Knight was one of Microgaming’s most popular slot machines. Unfortunately, it was shut down in 2016, after Playtech whipped the rights to the DC franchise from them. Playtech have long promised us a Dark Knight game which would rival the original Microgaming release. However, over the last year they have been messing about with 60s Batman games, none of which have become big hits with players. Now though, Playtech have finally delivered on their word as The Dark Knight is launched at casinos.
About the slot
The new slot may look like Microgaming’s game in terms of graphics, but in terms of gameplay, it is wholly different. The new slot features 6 reels instead of the customary 5, and it offers up 50 paylines on the reels. Players can expect to be able to spin the reels for as little as 0.20 and win thousands of coins, or even randomly triggered progressive jackpots if they strike it lucky.
Bonus features
A wealth of features has been included in the new Dark Knight slot. For a kick-off, players can bag a re-spins bonus with either The Joker or Batman taking the stage and offering features. Batman Re-Spins can offer bat symbols as wilds which lock on the reels. The Joker Re-Spin bonus offers all wilds and Joker icons as locked symbols. Should Harvey dent pop up and toss a coin which lands on the character whose bonus you’re playing, you’ll keep bagging re-spins. If the “other” character appears, the bonus ends.
There are also 3 separate free spin bonus rounds worked into the design of The Dark Knight. Players can snap up 7 spins with locked wilds, colossal Joker symbols or sticky Batman wilds depending on the bonus they pick.
It may not be as cool as the original or offer progressive prizes anywhere near the value of its predecessor, but Playtech’s Dark Knight is certainly worth a look this month.
