It has been quite the 2016 for NetEnt so far, a huge collection of new releases, and the roadmap recently released for the third quarter of the year shows another four on the way including the sequel to NRVNA, and slots by the name of Secrets of Atlantis and When Pigs Fly.The latest new release for NetEnt was the widely anticipated Football: Champions Cup, released in time to capitalise on the buzz around this summer’s European Championships. Not just content to be releasing exciting new games, NetEnt are also putting the work in elsewhere, as proven by the fact that the service provider has obtained two class licences from the National Gaming Office in Romania.
Licences
The licences cover production and distribution of specialised gaming software in Romania, as well as management and hosting facilities for online gaming. In a statement to confirm the news, NetEnt said:“For several years, the company has been investing in technology and expertise to adapt the company to regulated markets, and holds licenses and certifications in a number of European markets.”
Football: Champions Cup
It was odd that NetEnt didn’t have a football themed slot, but luckily that’s all changed now, with the release of Football: Champions Cup, a slot game in which you choose your favourite team and attempt to take them through the rounds and ultimately to the cup, including penalty shoot-outs along the way.Chief product officer at NetEnt, Simon Hammon, said of the release:“All eyes this summer will be glued to the European Championship football, and our exciting new release taps into that interest and gives fans another reason to cheer.“NetEnt’s unique game design and the fun shoot-out bonus game will be the perfect addition to a fantastic summer of sport.”
