Microgaming steps further into mythology with new slot release
Published on by Becky Mosley
There have been plenty of online slot games over the years that dabble in ancient cultures, and Microgaming themselves have had a good crack at the category before, with their hugely successful Thunderstruck franchise of online slot games. This week saw Microgaming extend their interest in mythology further still, with the release of a new mythology themed online slot game, revolving around classical Greek myths.
Jason and the Golden Fleece is the name of Microgaming’s latest release, and is rather less generic than some of other mythological slots. It focuses primarily on the myth of Jason and the Argonauts and the tale of the Golden Fleece; rather than throwing in a couple of other non-myth related oddities to boot, or being very vague about the topic at hand.
Aside from remaining true to the myth, Jason and the Golden Fleece slots also offers players plenty of ways to bag bonuses in the game. It is brightly coloured as you might imagine from Microgaming, although does look somewhat hurriedly designed.
There is a Shield Bonus for players that can see them pick up rewards from a choice of six shields, a Harpy Bonus which offers players big wins plus the possibility of a 2x multiplier from seventeen harp symbols too. Jason and the Golden Fleece slots also has a Symplegades Shipwreck Bonus of two choices, a Crete Wheel Bonus offering up to five free spins and a 15x multiplier, a Sirenum Bonus Hi-Lo card game and a Final Bonus where a player must choose from twenty magic potions, to create one that is potent enough to knock out a dragon.
Bonuses are a plenty and the last one will win you the fabled Golden Fleece for additional prizes.
There are plenty of ways to win in Jason and the Golden Fleece slots and that make it unique.
Aside from their experiment with mythology once more, Microgaming has come up with a potentially award winning slot. The look might not be sensational, but the amount of bonuses this slot offers is revolutionary.
