Microgaming secures rights to create new Tarzan themed game

In recent years Microgaming has really gone hell for leather when it comes to acquiring licenses. As a means to add another big time online slots game to the ranks, it seems that they have snapped up the rights to create yet another branded slots game. The game in question this time around is Tarzan, as they have signed a licensing agreement to use related imagery through Edgar Rice Burroughs, with the deal being brokered by leading industry name Creative Licensing Corporation.

Due For Released Later This Year

Published all the way back in 1912, as a story Tarzan has truly endured, going above and beyond its novel routes. Enchanting and engrossing, it tells the tale of a Jungle hero who battles to save a heroine in distress. Considering that the story is back in the headlines once again due to a brand new motion picture adaptation, it certainly makes sense for Microgaming to acquire the rights now rather than later. With the license now secure, Tarzan slot has been pencilled in for a dual platform release later in the year.Microgaming secures rights to create new Tarzan themed game

Not Looking To Disappoint

Speaking on the future of Tarzan under the Microgaming banner, Roger Raatgever (Microgaming CEO) said, “Tarzan is recognised the world over, so we’re excited to be launching a slot hosted by this timeless character. Our highly talented games team relish working with a new brand, to build a game that celebrates and embraces it. Having seen the game in prototype, I can honestly say the online slot will not disappoint Tarzan fans; operators and their players can look forward to the game’s release this winter”. Edgar Rice Burroughs President James Sullos also feels that the deal represents a step in the right direction, “We could not be more pleased to license Tarzan and his friends to such a quality company as Microgaming. Their extensive experience in developing online slot games assures us they will build a game that will attract many fans and players to the game from around the globe.”
