It looks to be all change at Nektan, as the popular online casino software developer has announced that Leigh Nissim is set to become the brand’s new CEO. Considered to be an extremely familiar face due to his work with IGT, Nissim will be departing his Commercial Director role with the company for pastures new.

Experience

Looking at what he is bringing to table, it is clear that his prior experience is what has persuaded Nektan to bring Nissim on board. With over 11 years experience in the iGaming industry, it is safe to say that he ranks as an industry veteran, having prior roles with other key industry names in the likes of GTECH G2, St Minver, and the aforementioned IGT.

Continued Growth

Nissim will arrive at Nektan in July, as company founder and current interim chief executive says farewell. Arriving as a stopgap following the departure of David Gosen, he will step down as CEO and assume a new position as Director of Strategy. Speaking on the arrival of Nissim Jim Wilkinson (Nektan Chairman) said, “We’re delighted to be appointing someone of Leigh’s calibre and experience to Nektan during this period of high growth and development. With his strong track record of successfully growing gambling businesses across our product verticals and within regulated markets, Leigh’s appointment will help Nektan continue its growth momentum and capitalise on new distribution and product opportunities.”Kind words were also spoken of Shaw as he looks to make his departure, as Wilkinson also said, “We must thank him for fulfilling a crucial role. Now as director of strategy, Gary will remain focused on adding value to the company through his significant entrepreneurial skills, in particular helping to develop the considerable opportunities available to the company in Europe and in the US through its joint venture Respin.”
