In March, we have seen bold new titles be released by Microgaming, Playtech, WMS Gaming and Net Entertainment. We have also seen Sheriff Gaming suffer what appears to be a total collapse. What we haven’t seen or heard anything from, is IGT. That is, until now. IGT have recently unveiled their newest release, the aptly titled Black Widow.

Murderous insects?

Given the title of this slot, you could be forgiven for assuming that it had something to do with spiders and other creepy crawlies. Suffice to say though, it does not. Instead, this new video slot is all about a husband murdering serial killer nicknamed the Black Widow, after the poisonous spider that kills and eats her mate after copulation.

Super stacks!

The new IGT title is basic in structure, offering 5 reels and 20 paylines of gameplay. However, that is where the basicness ends. IGT have developed a totally unique setup for this slot. Once such area of individuality and creativity is the Super Stacks feature. Before a spin, gamers will see an icon pop up above the reels. This icon, is the super stacked symbol. If the icon appears stacked on multiple reels, then naturally, the player will acquire seriously vast sums of money in winnings. The icon that appears above the reels before the spin is random.

Bonus galore!

IGT have also given the Black Widow slot two special bonus rounds. The first is the default free spins round. Should players land enough scatters, they will trigger this feature. Players start out with just 7 free spins, although they can win as many as 98 of them, if they successfully continue to re-trigger the free spins bonus. There is also a Web bonus round, where players attempt to acquire male icons on the central reel for multipliers of up to 13x the stake. If this is followed by a female icon, the multipliers can go up to 1,000x the stake.
