GVC Holdings And Betfred Come Together For A Long-Term Deal

Published on by

As far as gaming service providers go, few companies on the planet have the power to rival GVC Holdings. Largely known for its involvement with bwin.party, it seems that the brand is now looking to increases its overall industry footprint by announcing a new 10-year B2B licensing agreement with leading online gambling firm Betfred.

Better Player Access

The agreement, which has exclusive implications, is by no means a bit-part deal, as it will cover the full migration of Betfred’s online operation. What this will mean to Betfred is that it will now operate under single account means, enabling players to access all the brand’s content (across a selection of different channels) without the need for a multitude of different logins. Streamlining the Betfred product, GVC Holdings will also be making its backend data tools available, which will subsequently allow Betfred to improve its all round product catalogue.

Significant Deal

Speaking in the new deal John Haddock (Betfred Chief Executive) said “We were impressed by GVC’s proprietary technology platform, together with its scalability and flexible approach to support the continued growth of our online business”. Kenneth Alexander (GVC Chief Executive) also took the time to comment on the agreement, “We are delighted to have secured this exciting and important B2B partnership with Betfred, one of the major players in the UK gaming market, so soon after the acquisition of bwin.party. This is a significant deal for GVC and recognises the strength and inherent value of our proprietary technology”.Rumblings regarding Betfred’s want and need to grow have been floating around the industry for well over a year, with this deal signifying that they are now gearing up for extensive expansion.
