Giant apes are set to dominate new slot releases
February is apparently the time for giant apes – at least as far as online casino software developers are concerned. Both Playtech and NextGen Gaming have laid down plans for the launch of their own giant ape-themed games, and they couldn’t be further apart in terms of what they offer.
Epic Ape
First up, Playtech (one of the busiest casino software developers unveiling new games right now) has announced that their Epic Ape slot is to launch this week. With a King Kong slot (based on the 2005 film) already under their belt, Playtech apparently thinks that now is the time to revisit this theme.
Epic Ape is pegged to feature 6 reels, so there is certainly some original gameplay in store for players. If that wasn’t enough, there are also 4,096 paylines present on the reels of this slot, with wagers costing as little as 0.25 per spin. Wild symbols free spins and multipliers all form a part of the special features in this soon-to-be-released slot.
King Kong Fury
NextGen Gaming are also getting in the act, with their King Kong Fury. This licensed King Kong slot doesn’t have a release date yet, but spring is looking likely. The game will be played over 5 reels and 50 paylines, which is more conventional than its Playtech developed counterpart. Wagers will also cost just 0.25 per spin, and we do know that multipliers worth up to 100x your total bet will be available.
King Kong Fury will contain a Skull Island free spin bonus too, as well as a non-progressive jackpot which is worth around 12,500x the total amount wagered.
No official release dates have been given, but spring is certainly shaping up to be the time of the giant ape in the online casino world.
