NextGen Gaming’s upcoming sequel slot Medusa II is creating a lot of excitement in the online casino world, and this week, the developer’s launched a brand new YouTube video preview of the new title. Slot sequels are all the rage at this moment in time, so it is incredibly exciting to see what Medusa II will offer that its predecessor did not. 

Theme

The original game first hit our screens a couple of years ago, with an aged look and retro gameplay style and structure. Despite that, Medusa went on to do quite well in the industry. It comes as no surprise that NextGen Gaming have decided to release another one of these classics then. The theme of the brand new slot will almost certainly be the same as the original game, although the video preview is crafty in just what it shows us, and what it doesn’t. The special features for instance, are excluded from the video preview. NextGen Gaming, it seems, wants to keep their cards close to their chest for the time being. 

Ready for launch?

There has been no official word on the launch date of the new Medusa II slot machine game, although a launch date planned for later in the summer would make most sense. This would also be the same time that NextGen Gaming releases their official Judge Dredd themed video slot. A later releases may also be possible for this video slot. Given the lack of actual footage of the new slot in the preview video, it is more than reasonable to conclude that the slot is actually still in the development stages. Either way, if Medusa II has the impact that the original Medusa did when it first launched (or even today), then online video slot gamers are going to be in for a real treat.
