Corruption has become rife throughout the world of online gambling, as it seems like more and more brands are falling victim to illicit gamblers. Taking a stand, at least within the world of sport, The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has announced a new set of measures that will work to combat corruption at its core.Through an extensive integrity review that began back during Summer 2015, it seems that the world of horse betting discovered that there are major concerns surrounding the safety of the industry. Advisory Body

For starters, the national governing body of Horse Racing has called for the establishment of a stakeholder integrity forum. What this will do is act as an advisory body to the industry on a whole, highlighting corruption and related issues. The BHA has also called for improved investigative measures to be enforced. Largely as the study found that matters related to case management and disciplinary procedures were severely lacking.Educational tools are another matter that the BHA wishes to address, as they plan to bring developers, operators, and players up to code with what the anti-corruption measures entail. Maintain British Horse Racings Reputation

Speaking on the new anti-corruption approach Sir Paul Stephenson (BHA Independent Regulatory Director) said, “British racing has a strong track record in investigating and taking action against individuals who seek to corrupt the sport.However, we do not have a divine right to this reputation, hence this review was instigated to ensure that British racing is doing all it can to maintain and improve this reputation.”
