Plumbee – one of the smaller online gambling companies – has launched the fifth of their Mirrorball Slots this week on Facebook, the social networking giant. The new slot game is simply entitled Beowulf – and as one might imagine, it is based on the classic Old England tale of a Scandinavian hero.
The original story – written between the eight and eleventh centuries – tells the tale of Beowulf, who comes to help of the King of the Danes to attack the monster known as Grendel. Beowulf defeats Grendel only to have Grendel’s mother attack, which he then defeats to. After he returns home, Beowulf is declared a king, only to die in battle much later on against a dragon.
The slot follows this story relatively accurately, with the battle between Grendel and Beowulf featured heavily in the slot. The fight with the dragon at the end also determines how many free spins the player will be able acquire.
The slot is now available on the Mirror Ball slots site, which is also run on Facebook. The level of detail and animation used in this new online slot is quite remarkable, and a great deal of effort has been used to make as spectacular as possible; to which it succeeds earnestly.
Beowulf is predicted to be an extremely popular online slot with gamers on the social networking website. The chief executive officer for Plumbee (based in Scandinavia itself) – a Mr. Daniel Lindberg commented that they are expecting several hundreds of thousands of players to play the new online slot, and that anybody prepared to give Beowulf slots a try will be truly blown away by the scale, scope and range of the new title.
Beowulf has now been released on Mirrorball slots and can be played as an application on Facebook by all registered users.
