Slotsmoon was established in 2017, which does not put it in the minority in terms of online casino sites. It is understandable that considering the size and rapid growth of the industry, that an increasing number of sites would be looking to take advantage of the traffic, but the market is fairly oversaturated by online casinos at the moment, even with the number of players there are globally, which means that every new site should fight not only against the other new sites, but also against online casinos which have been building up their reputation and player base for decades.

This is what faces Slotsmoon, an uphill struggle like no other, playing the part of the young, less experienced lion trying to challenge the leader of the pride for superiority. It’s a brave choice, there’s no doubt about that, but bravery doesn’t get you fat in such a competitive industry, Slotsmoon needs to bring a lot in terms of style, content, and customer service to be able to even get noticed.

Design and theme

If you’re expecting a logo with a moon sat behind it, and a site that is heavily inhabited by stars and celestial themes from a site called Slotsmoon, then you are not going to be disappointed when you visit this site. Never has a more obvious execution of a scene but displayed, but that is not a bad thing at all, in fact, I think the majority of players would be somewhat saddened to discover this site looked any other way.

It isn’t all moon themed here though, once you get past the logo and the top banner, you get a subtle, single colour backdrop that does a great job of pushing the content into the foreground, and when that content is displayed in brightly coloured thumbnails as far down the homepage as you can see (as long as you click the All games button at the bottom) that’s exactly what it should be doing.

A lovely little concept, very well executed, and delivered with a games first attitude, this is what online casino sites are supposed to look like, truly excellent.

Games

The big question when it comes to what a new site has to offer, will always come down to games, and Slotsmoon delivers pretty well on that, not brilliantly, but pretty well. Titles here come by way of Evolution, Microgaming, NetEnt, NextGen Gaming, NeoGames, NYX Gaming, Play'n GO, SG Gaming, and Williams Interactive, a strong collection, but one that is missing a few popular and up and coming names (IGT, Thunderkick, Yggdrasil, etc.) so it could definitely be improved. Hopefully, more software developers will be added in time, but for now, there is a lot to find and enjoy here.

Despite the name, it’s not all slots either, with a strong and varied selection of table and card games, including numerous varieties of roulette, blackjack, and poker available, and a few live dealer games too. With a bunch of scratchcards thrown into the mix to appease the instant win fans, there’s pretty much something for everybody at Slotsmoon, and as long as more games are coming in the near future, as one assumes they will be, then that should remain true.

Slotsmoon is not quite the finished product yet, but for a new site, it’s one of the best for a while and is well worth checking out.
