NetEnt’s Q1 Roadmap 2018
NetEnt are one of, if not the biggest name in iGaming software development right now thanks to their consistent stream of top-quality slots.
Based on what we’ve seen from the Swedish provider already in 2018, it doesn’t look like NetEnt will be slowing down any time soon, and with the release of the roadmap for the first quarter of 2018, we now know what’s to come in the next few months.
Twin Spin Deluxe
Released in early January, Twin Spin Deluxe had been available exclusively at Unibet and Maria Casino until that point, but now you can enjoy it at any NetEnt casino.
Using the popular Cluster Pays format that means clusters of symbols create winning combinations, this is the big difference between this and the original Twin Spin slot.
The first release of 2018 made it clear that NetEnt have no intention of letting go of their crown.
Universal Monsters: The Phantom’s Curse
You’d be forgiven for assuming that this game itself was cursed, having been announced last year and then quickly retracted, as Microgaming also seemed to struggle with the release of a slot based on the popular musical.
However, this slot is finally with us, having been released on January 24th, and it has design and artwork that leaves its Microgaming competitor in its dust. A great looking slot with immersive gameplay features the first instalment in the Universal Monsters series bodes well for the future.
Fruit Spin
Another slot that is currently an exclusive, Fruit Spin is due for general release on February 8th (2018) and if you’ve played it at Mr Green, you know what to expect here.
A five-reel, 40 payline slot, Fruit Spin benefits from stacked symbols, giant scatter and wild symbols, and a variety of exciting gameplay features.
A throwback to the fruit machines of old, but with a modern twist, this is one for the nostalgic.
Asgardian Stones
The theme of Norse mythology is one that NetEnt are very familiar with, and they’re giving it another go with Asgardian Stones, which is due for general release in most jurisdictions on February 22nd although some countries will have to wait until March 12th, for reasons which have not been confirmed.
The popular Cascading Reels feature known from Gonzo’s Quest is at play here, so consecutive wins are available.
Miami Pursuit
The last release planned for Q1 (although NetEnt have surprised us with extra releases before), we know very little about Miami Pursuit at this point, as NetEnt like to make fans sweat a bit before letting too much be known about an upcoming release.
We’re assuming some flamboyant, beach side scene, the Pursuit in the title suggests there’ll probably be some kind of car chase involved, but with NetEnt, you never know.
We will bring more information on upcoming releases as we get it, but there’s one thing that’s already guaranteed, there’s a lot of excellent games on the horizon from NetEnt, and that’s only the first quarter of the year!
