NetEnt online casino content goes live in Romania
NetEnt is arguably the biggest online casino software development brand in the world, having been a true driving force within the industry during the past several years. The Swedish developer and distributor of online casino content has outreach within all four corners of the globe, with the latest move seeing NetEnt establish a presence on Romanian shores. After successfully completing what appears to be a lengthy integration process, NetEnt titles have now gone live via several major operators within the country.
Full Operating Licence
The move to bring NetEnt to the Romanian market was all but confirmed back in May, as the company was among the first names to be awarded a full operating license within the Eastern European nation. Considering the magnitude of this announcement, Enrico Bradamante (NetEnt Chief of European Market Operations and NetEnt Malta MD) was quick to comment by saying, ”We keep delivering on our global growth strategy by strengthening our position on regulated markets and we are very pleased that our popular games are now also available in Romania”.
Hot On Their Heels
Romania is one of what seems like many new countries that have relaxed its laws regarding foreign operators. Reducing the amount of restrictions that are in place, in it is now possible for brands to receive full licensing, with developers and operators keen to move quickly into this emerging market. While NetEnt may have been first to pull the trigger, the likes Yggdrasil Gaming, NYX Gaming Group, SBTech, PokerStars, 888 Holdings, and Evolution Gaming are hot on the Swedish company’s heels, as they also appear to have made license applications.
Moving Quickly
Emerging and evolving, it appears that Romania may soon become a happy hunting ground for the online casino industry. With that in mind, it appears that NetEnt hasn’t missed a beat, as they look to move quickly in order to take advantage of this coveted new business opportunity.
