Mega Moolah’s jackpot drops in time for the New Year

One lucky player had a good reason to celebrate the approach of the New Year by landing the jackpot prize of 4,966,561.64 on Microgaming’s Mega Moolah progressive slot on the 30th of December 2019.

The previous jackpot winner was back in November 2019, where one lucky player pocketed a whopping £2.7 million.

Who won?

We have no idea who the winner was for now, but because the jackpot was reset to the sum of 2.5 million, we can presume that the player was not wagering in US Dollars, Euros or Pounds.

It is a possibility that the winner was playing with either New Zealand dollars or Canadian Dollars. If the winner was playing in New Zealand Dollars, this would mean that they were the 5th player using that currency to have landed the jackpot prize.

This would make them one of the top 5 jackpot winners wagering with New Zealand Dollars.

Rawiri Pou, who worked in the fast food industry laid claim to the biggest prize of NZ$ 10.1 million which he won in June 2016. He was one of just a few winners who decided to go public on their huge win and he was going to spend some of his money on his friends and family

2019 was a good year for winners

In 2019 there were 12 winners of the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot just one short of the previous high tally of 13 winners which was in 2017. This proves the popularity of this slot.

Player will be looking forward to see what luck 2020 will bring them and if they will be one of the next millionaire jackpot winners.

The Wheel of Wishes progressive jackpot slot will be due for release early in the year and no doubt players will be eagerly anticipating the release of the new slot to see what is on offer.
