SoftSwiss Report Shows Cryptocurrency Growth in the Gambling Market

Cryptocurrency is a bone of contention with many, whether you trade in crypto or not it’s becoming a popular form of deposit method at online casinos.

SoftSwiss announced its latest cryptocurrency data, for the first half of 2022, citing the crypto community along with operators is becoming a ‘new stage’ in the online gambling world.

Overall, gambling online has increased year on year with a 46% rise in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

SoftSwiss COO Vitali Matsukevich said, “We have seen staple growth for several years, which contributes to the further developments of crypto gambling.

In terms of popularity, Bitcoin remains the most used cryptocurrency at 71.5%, followed by Ethereum at 14.7% and Litecoin at 6.15%.

Crypto betting is on the rise despite a slight decline in the first half of 2022, it’s infiltrated the online gambling industry, SwissSoft believes the evolving regulations worldwide along with the popularity of cryptocurrency will have a significant impact on the future iGaming industry.

Matsukevich said, “Stricter regulation of crypto operations, of course, will have an impact on the development speed of the business area. However, the huge potential of crypto projects and, accordingly, interest from leading industry representatives will play a decisive role.

“We will see further growth in this niche combined with a new non-standard approach to the gamification of the playing process with novelties such as NFT tokens.”
